Dos and Don'ts of Collegiate Cycling

The last couple of days I have been spending some serious couch time with a serious lack of saddle time. I have been thinking a lot about how much fun collegiate racing is. Where else is it appropriate to finish a short track and then immediately enjoy a 40 while heckling Division I riders.

But alas not everything is perfect. That’s why I created this guide to being a Collegiate Cyclist. These Dos and Don'ts will let you know if your ready to leave the frat house for a fun filled weekend of collegiate debauchery on bikes or if you need to hang up the cleats because you shouldn't be there.


-Quallity Recovery Time is very important for the collegiate athlete


-Juggles isn't really being a good Collegiate Cyclist on its/their trainer, but Tyler managed to flat while on the a trainer so we will let it slide. Mullets by Kay are always good.

Do's
1. Spend the day before a race skiing rather then putting the legs up.
2. Eat an entire bag of Sun Chips and then spend the morning before your start on the toilet.
3. Put your Jersey on improperly while the start gun goes off and finish the race with out fixing it.
4. Tell roadies that you’re going to crash them out of the race.
5. Forget to pin your number on.

Don'ts
1. Be a 30-year-old grad student.
2. Train solely for a collegiate season
3. Complain to officials about dirt sections in a Road Race
4. Train for the Collegiate Mountain Bike Season.
5. Train for Cross Nationals and not go.

(Many of these are based off of members of the CC cycling team. You can figure out whom.)
